Oct 19 — Paul Pogba’s aspirations to return to the pitch for Juventus have been dampened after the club’s director, Cristiano Giuntoli, announced that the Serie A side feels complete without the 31-year-old midfielder.

Pogba, who has been sidelined due to a doping ban after testing positive for DHEA, a substance that enhances testosterone levels, is set to see his suspension come to an end in March 2025. Earlier this month, the Court of Arbitration for Sport reduced his initial four-year ban to 18 months, allowing him to be eligible to play for Juventus immediately after the ban is lifted.

Giuntoli addressed the media ahead of Juventus’ home match against Lazio, stating, “Our position is clear. Pogba has been a great player, but he has been out for a long time, and last year we were forced to invest in other players. So now the squad is complete as it is.”

With Pogba’s contract with the club extending until June 2026, questions remain about his future with Juventus as the team moves forward without him. As the club navigates the remainder of the season, Pogba’s potential return could hinge on both his performance post-ban and the evolving dynamics within the squad.
